I have chosen "Countdown" as my mechanic. "The dynamic in which players are only given a certain amount of time to
do something. This will create an activity graph that causes increased
initial activity increasing frenetically until time runs out, which is a

To explain this in further detail its a mechanic that is based around time and time limits, so for example you have x-amount of time to complete this task, level, challenge. This feature appeals to me because of how a task can then become a challenge, which then leads to urgent optimism, the willingness to complete this task because it gets so addicting and challenging that its a must to complete.
Some examples of time limit games are:
BurntOut 3/GTA/Need for speed(s)/GRID/Forza/ Dirt (And many more racing games.)
Candy Crush
Mostly all of the MMORPG Games (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game).
such as (C.O.D, Black Ops, Halo(s), Battlefield etc).
The list could go on and on but you get the point.
