Ideas on environmental issues so far to study up on..
- Nanotechnology
- Pollution
- Resource depletion (logging, fishing etc)
- Waste
- Intensive farming
- Energy
- Over population
Thinking of an idea for a game out of any of these environmental issues will be a challenge but since I've studied a bit on gaming mechanics as you can see in earlier posts I think a couple of ideas will come.

The 3 themes I've chosen for my films.
My three themes for Project One are:
INTENSITY
HORROR
ENJOYMENT
INTENSITY
HORROR
ENJOYMENT
I choose these three as much themes because I thought that they would have good effects when editing them. Now my next step is to find footage or make my own footage to relate to these concepts and maybe find some tunes to good along with it to make the effect complete.
Editing techniques I want to use in Project One
- Fade in, fade out
Fading is a shot which begins in total darkness and gradually lightens to full brightness. And the opposite for fade out. This technique could be good with introductions and endings or fade between scenes.
- Jump cuts
Jump cuts are a cut which breaks the continuity of time by jumping forward from one part of an action to another. This will be good to see passing of time within my scene.
- Dissolving
- Panning
Panning is to rotate the camera about on its vertical axis. This would be well used if I need to slide across the screen or pan around my character or object.
- Cross cutting
Cross cutting is the intercutting of shots from two or more scenes so the fragments of each scene will be presented to the viewers attention alternately. I will most likely use this in my short movies.
- J and L cuts
These cuts are to make transitions go a lot smoothy and is based on sounds. Ill be using this a lot in my scenes.

- Dissolving
Dissolving is a gradual merging of the end of one shot and beginning of another produced by the superimposition of a fade-out onto a fade-in of equal length. This would be good to end scenes with or enter the starting scene with.

My 3 posters of my 3 games using gaming mechanic terms
Here is my 3 games in poster form and criticizing each game mechanic that I've chosen. For each game I used 3 game mechanic terms and explained how the game relates to that mechanic and also how it could relate to my project.
